This was "inspired" by e.e. cummings, so I've included his lines and followed them with my own.
one's not half two. It's two are halves of one:
which halves reintegrating, shall occur
no death and any quantity; but than
all numerable mosts the actual more
-- e.e. cummings
i was one alone
until i discovered
that i was one half of One
now i am one alone again
yet still only half
which is better
to have remained alone
or forever be the broken half
of One?
