If I could run in a field with my hand touching the sky
If I could dance in a ballroom and live for today
If I can hold a flower and smell its perfume
If I could go outside again, without a care
If I could see the butterflies, flying in the air
I believe I can live my dream
I can do it, I can play my part
There is a gift I have in my heart

If I could stand once again
If I could feel my body and live my life new
I would not change a thing
For everywhere I go
My spirit is still strong and it can break through
I love the grass, flowers, and trees
If I could I would never change any of these

What does it matter, if I am wheelchair bound
I love nature just the same
If I could smile, I would do it all my life
I will not let people tell me what they think is best
For I have a gift God gave me
I have won the test

If I could love someone, who can see my soul
Then I will hold out my hand and not let go.
If I could have a secret garden, all my own
I would help the desperate to come in and take part
Of the love of My Savior,
Who never leaves our hearts
He will take your burden and make it His own
The Lord, thy God, will never leave you alone
