I've been inspired by Cute Overload.com (http://www.cuteoverload.com/). That, and Riesa's adorable baby donkey girl, French Toast. :D
Here is the place to post those pictures and stories you come across and copy onto your harddrive, but have no one to share them with! (Please tell me I'm not the only person who does that?)
Things like this:

Or these:

Yay! So, go to it! I'll start things off with a picture of my very special girl, Adele the cat. This is her "incredulous" face, the one she gives you when she thinks you might be up to no good. (She requires direct eye contact to reassure her that all is as it should be.)
nnno not cats again :D
they pretend to be cute because they're EVIL!!! :D
*goes back to her world of evilness before all this cuteness makes her feel suagry-sticky* :D

Quite true, but all this talk about evil cats & penguins means people usually forget that the true leader is the infernal bunny rabbit, you can be sitting there paying the creature no mind and suddenly its about to take a bite out of your ear.
On a more topic related note however, am I the only one who finds those pictures more ugly than cute. It's the same as when folk show you pictures of their snot nosed kids and what you really want to say is that they look pretty deformed, but the deranged parent is smiling like a lunatic and going on about how cute they are, so instead you smile politely and say they are the nicest looking rapscallions you've ever seen.

I'm torn between this feeling and the actual cuteness they try to inspire on me...
It's like that photographer that makes pics of children coming out of flowerd and such cos it's meant to be cute... how I detest her (Anne something...Geddes or stuff like that)

In defense of the kiddos, and very cute and heartwarming, too:
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, “What does love mean?”
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:
“When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s love.”
Rebecca- age 8
“When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.
You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.”
Billy - age 4
“Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.”
Karl - age 5
“Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.”
Chrissy - age 6
“Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired.”
Terri - age 4
“Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.”
Danny - age 7
“Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss”
Emily - age 8
“Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.”
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)
“If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,”
Nikka - age 6
(we need a few million more Nikka’s on this planet)
“Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.”
Noelle - age 7
“Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.”
Tommy - age 6
“During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn’t scared anymore.”
Cindy - age 8
“My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don’t see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.”
Clare - age 6
“Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.”
Elaine - age 5
“Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Brad Pitt.”
Chris - age 7
“Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.”
Mary Ann - age 4
“I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.”
Lauren - age 4
“When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.” (what an image)
Karen - age 7
“You really shouldn’t say ‘I love you’ unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.”
Jessica - age 8
And the final one — Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge.
The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.
The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,
“Nothing, I just helped him cry”

OMG puppy pile! :D :D
“Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.”People need to be more like puppies. That would solve the problem of war, too; who could hurt each other when everyone's so soft and fluffy?
Some of those, I'm not sure whether to believe (that they weren't made up by adults). But the last one was very sweet. :)

How about some puppy pictures of Brandi. These were taken by the breeder on the day of her birth. The first picture is Brandi, by herself. The second is of the litter. She was of a litter of three, all feamles. Brandi is the one on the left not cuddling. For those that don't know, Brandi is my dog, a Labrador Retriever.

And I haven't bothered, it would cause all sorts of dietry issues if I turned out to be a kitten!

You Are A: Frog!
Independent yet still part of a large community, frogs are unique creatures known for their distinctive sound and ability to hop. As a frog, you spend your days sitting on lily pads or climbing trees, searching for delicious insects to eat. While there are some frogs that aren't exactly cute, you are certainly not one of those!
You were almost a: Bear Cub or a Monkey
You are least like a: Bunny or a Puppy

You Are A: Kitten!
Cute as can be, kittens are playful, mischevious, and ever-curious. Like you, kittens hate getting wet. Kittens are often loving, but are known to scratch or bite when annoyed. These adorable animals are the most popular pets in the United States--37% of American households have at least one cat. Whether it is your gentle purr or your disarming appearance, you make a wonderful kitten.

You Are A: Turtle!
These reptiles, famous for their hard outer shells, spent their days roaming for food and relaxing in the water. As a turtle you are not very speedy, nor are you soft and cuddly. You tend to hide in your shell and you aren't much of a sprinter, but you are quite tough. You also happen to be as cute as you are fascinating.

You Are A: Chipmunk!
Everyone adores these cute woodland animals, known for the stripe that runs down their back. Famously timid, chipmunks will quickly scurry to the safety of their burrows if danger approaches. As a chipmunk, you eat mostly seeds and nuts, but you may sample bird eggs and insects from time to time.

You Are A: Monkey!
Monkeys are intelligent and agile, well-adapted for jungle life as they swing happily from tree to tree. As a monkey, you are a social animal who prefers a warm climate, eats a wide range of food and is quick to learn new things. A monkey's tiny primate features are irresistable, as is his gregarious personality!

You Are A: Parakeet!
This popular bird is kept as a pet in homes all over the world. Originating from Australia, parakeets like warm weather and lots of seeds and fruit. They are also known for being messy and quite loud! But you cannot look at one without falling in love.

emily those dormice are the cutest little beasties in the world :) my best friend and me only looked at them the other day and when i read the title of your thread i thought "i'll post the dormice there"... looks like I'm late :)
the courtship dance of the bluefooted booby:
first the male does "skypointing" (pointing his beak towards the sky and flapping his wings), then they show each other their feet in a slowish and very clumsy dance, finally, they give each other little twigs as wedding gifts, which they put on each others feet. then they build a nest from the twigs, destroy it and the female craps a star-shaped pattern around the spot where she lays the egg, very romantic

Took the test - of course. ;)
You Are A: Bear Cub!
Bears are strong and independent creatures who roam in the forest in search of food. Bears are usually gentle, but anger one and be prepared for their full fury! You're tough, you won't back down from a fight, you have a bit of a temper -- classic attributes of a bear. Intelligent and resourceful, though lazy at times, you are a fascinating creature of the wild.

My favorites:
~ Always sit on the book some one is reading.
~ The litter tray ~ it's important that you train your human to clean this as often as possible. If you think they need help it's quite acceptable to assist by shovelling the contents out of the tray ~ they will be grateful for your help.
~ Your main sleeping area ~ your humans bed, the best position is generally the centre groove between their legs. This ensures that they can't turn over when sleeping and disturb your well-deserved rest.
I once woke up to find both my parents laughing at me. I was laying in bed on my stomach, and Adele was sleeping between my back legs with her head on my butt, like a pillow. I couldn't move an inch in any direction, but she was as comfy as anything. :p

Speaking of the almost undeniable monopoly on cuteness held by the Japanese cartoon industry, :D here is an interesting article on the "kawaii (http://www.uta.edu/english/tidwell/JapaneseFashion/JapaneseFashion--Cute.htm)" trend (cuteness counterculture) in Japan. (The following pages on the "Lolita (http://www.uta.edu/english/tidwell/JapaneseFashion/JapaneseFashion--Lolita.htm)" and "Gothic Lolita (http://www.uta.edu/english/tidwell/JapaneseFashion/JapaneseFashion--GothicLolita.htm)" looks are also worth reading. BUt A few years back I saw a documentry on the bbc about the "cute" trend in Japan and how apparntly ( no offence to anyone) The cute look especially the socks round the ankles ( that seem to have traveld at least as far as theh uk) is also a sexy look. I think also there was somthing about the increase prostition of school girls because a) the "kawaii" look works and b) they need the moneey to buy the clothes
Thats the thing I dont like about anime all the charcters look like tiny kids then they go all mushy I just find it disturbing.
Then again one of the English channels has a program calldCrush aimed at 8 year olds where they can win a nice date out for them and thier crush...that is disturbing I mean I know I started plotting how to get someone to marry me when I was three. But I didnt actually have a crush till I was 11 or 12 and thank heavens havent had another one since.

Then again one of the English channels has a program calldCrush aimed at 8 year olds where they can win a nice date out for them and thier crush:eek2: Oh, geez. That's... really wrong. I had a couple of elementary school crushes, but they were less crushes and more wanting the attention of someone I thought was cool. It's not like I was playing with my My Little Ponies while thinking about kissing little boys. Sometimes I agree with the Lolitas' philosophy: would the world be better if people stayed children for just a little longer? It seems like those fashions are popular because there's no such thing as real children anymore; they all try to grow up way too fast.
Elizabeth, I like that bottom picture. I just noticed that the girl on the left has an angel wing tattooed on her shoulder, and the one on the right has a bat's wing. Hooray, attention to detail! :D

i did the quiz, too
great, i'm a duck
Found in many lakes and ponds, ducks are a common site the world over. Known for their famous quack, ducks tend to congregate in flocks or go off on their own in pairs. As a duck, you may seem friendly at times but will not hesitate to bite if someone is bothering you. Your love for travel and your ability to swim are some reasons why you are a duck.
"site"??? how's about "sight"?, well, never mind...
PS: which tags or stuff do i use to insert the code from that page? I've tried all of them but the preview only shows me a box that says "code" or "html" or something on top and then you see the code rathr than what it is supposed to look like in the end...

I am a Pony!
Who doesn't love a pony? You are one of these miniature horses, renown for your beauty and desired by many. Full of grace, you are a beautiful and very special animal, full of strength and majesty.
You were almost a: Puppy or a Lamb
You are least like a: Turtle or a Mouse
that's great because I love horses... :D

I don't think this forum supports html in posts, sadly. I seem to recall trying and failing to past some html code on here before.

You Are A: Bear Cub!
http://www.cuteducky.com/img/bear_x.jpg
Bears are strong and independent creatures who roam in the forest in search of food. Bears are usually gentle, but anger one and be prepared for their full fury! You're big, you're tough, you won't back down from a fight, you have a bit of a temper -- classic attributes of a bear. Intelligent and resourceful, though lazy at times, you are a fascinating creature of the wild.
You were almost a: Turtle or a Duck
You are least like a: Chipmunk or a Squirrel
:D
Weird quiz.

just overheard this conversation by my 6 year old and 5 year old looking at a wasp:
"Hey look, it's a queen bee!"
"Really? I don't see a crown."
Is it cute, or because they are mine I just think it's cute?

I don't think such a gesture would have been appreciated; you can tell Mister Raccoon was a bit peeved with me.
