A Dedication
Ma belle dame, would thee not smile for me?
Or should thou forsake the fool thou see?
Thou fairest skin blinds me with its radiance,
And thy streams of golden brown hair glisten with brilliance.
Oh! How I would love to kneel,
At the foot of thy hundred steps stairs to steal,
But a glimpse of thy figure gliding down,
Like a goddess with wings on thy foot and thy humble head bowing down.
How fragile is thy every silent step,
So soft is thy heart that once had easily wept,
How genuine is thy nature that unfolds before me,
Is there anyone worthy to be met by the eyes of thee?
Let no man offend thy loveliest eyes to tears,
Lest my wrath consume him in all his fears!
He seeks nothing from me but a vengeful plight,
I shall uphold thy glory with all my might!
And so let thy slave ever loyal,
Vow to thee without betrayal.
Seal this fate to be thy eternal sentinel,
In mine heart safely you shall dwell.
And should myself cause thee of pain,
My loyalty there marks a stain.
Worthy is not, this damned life to continue.
Cast me to the abyss should thou wish to do.
But beg do I to thy most solemn heart,
For now, let this fool willingly play his part.
Searching for thy mercy as I speak,
A smile in return is only that of which I seek!
Anybody? Please criticize? Thank you much!
