Hello. I'm trying to find a fiction novel I once read. I cannot remember the title or the author, just the plot. It was the first in a group featuring the same main character, a man who was formerly with the FBI (or military or police - not sure). He came into a small town in the South and discovered a money counterfeiting ring in which dollar bills were collected from casinos, washed, and then reprinted as a larger denomination. Please help if you can, as I would really like to continue to read more of the books in the group. I am kicking myself for not writing anything down about it.

Thanks!!

I don't know if you know this, but most people don't. If you have a good neighborhood library in your area—or even a big-city downtown library—and if you visit (or phone, in some places) and if you go to the librarian in charge of the adult popular fiction section, she might be able to locate your author.

Librarians are educated along these lines, and paid to do exactly this. They are an excellent resource. Unfortunately, in crowded areas or places cutting back on costs, these services are diminishing. But give it a try. You'll need some luck, but if you get the right librarian, you just might find your author.

Do you remember any character names? That might help, too.

Here is a Google search page which might or might not have it. If not, take a look at the key words I've tried (at the top), and see if you can improve them.
