View Full Version : Any TLS readers here? Thoughts on Stothard's editorship?

Cynical as I am, I was sincerely worried when Stothard replaced Mount as editor. But the magazine seems to be doing very well from the looks of it. There have been a few changes -- a new freelancer (Greenberg) to replace Kavanagh, a bit more advertising (quite a lot of it full-page colour), and generally 32 pages instead of 36 or 40 -- but the quality of writing is still very good, with no attempt to popularise. Also seems to be more female reviewers.

Any thoughts? Disagreements?

What is TLS?
Can I get it in the UK?
In the US?

Times Literary Supplement- copies do find their way to India, but they're usually so outdated by the time I get them, it's not worth the reading!

Not worth reading? I'm still enjoying catching up on my unread June issues -- and that's without any postal delay at all!

IWilKikU -- if that is your real name -- you can go to www.the-tls.co.uk for more info about it. It's one of the few contemporary magazines worth its subscription price.
