Guys I have to annotate a scene from The House of Bernarda Alba by Frederico Garcia Lorca and the scene i got was the one in Act 3 where the grandma has escaped and has this little monologue until Martirio comes in (right after Adela leaves to be with Pepe El Romano)
Obviously technically this scene was put in to unify time meaning that just before Adela had gone to be with Pepe el Romano and after she is caught so there needed to be some time inbetween.
But my question is WHY was this time given to the grandma? Why is it she who takes up this vacant time and talks about Bernarda face of Leopard, Magdalena Face of hyena? Whats the significance?
