Anybody read this? It's been assigned to me for outside reading and I'd like to have at least some idea of what I'm getting into. :brow:

hi Dark,
If you go on google and simply print mere christianity and then press the line that says the same thing only in red, that might help you.
how are you?

I have this one in Audio book :)
In CS's own word Mere Christianity is not a book about different sect, followings, or branches of Christianity, but is merely in his mind the moral values, ideals, and base efforts that makes a man a Christian without his form of denomination.
In basics its a Christian with all the Religious mumbo jumbo swept aside.

C.S. Lewis has a down-to-earth writing style, plus a lot of wit, in this one as I recall. Then Part II or III, about unselfing yourself, requires one to look at one's own character. How much of a selfish pig is one? How unegotistical and un-self-seek is one willing to go? How much giving versus how much getting?

Ouch Byquist, I hope that isn't your opinion of yourself!
"I humble myself before nothing, save God himself!"
