alright, so I have to make a scape book of some literary terms from Romeo and Juliet, except I can't indentify similies, metaphors, personification, and alliteration because I don't understand the language used in this play very much. PLEASE HELP, I need 5 of each from anywhere in the book!!

A simile is where the author compares one thing to another saying that it is 'like' it or 'as' it. eg. "She was as fresh as a daisy.", "He ran like a gazelle."
A metaphor is another kind of comparison. But in this case, the author says that one thing is another, not that it is merely like another. eg. "She was an open book.", "He was on fire."
Personification is the giving of human characteristics to something non-human. eg. "The sun smiled down.", "This computer hates me!"
Alliteration is Simply Saying Something with the Same Syllable Starting Several words in a row - and that was an example.
Now go and look for these things in R & J. There are plenty of examples, but it will help your understanding of the concepts to find them yourself.
I hope that helps.

Ok..won't give you the answers as you need to do your own homework..but will tell you where to look..btw..my handle is from Taming of the Shrew...
Ok..Try Act 1 Scene 1..the whole play on words there with all of the naughty puns will give you some good ones..if you can't figure it out..so very sorry and you are missing all the fun ;)..
Then try the scene where Mercutio is dying Act III I believe...
Then there is the whole balcony scene.....
You should be able to get all you need from those..here is a link online that has Shakespeare helps too..
