Rerferals

Just out of curiosity.
Sometiems when I look at someone's public profile it has a little note "Referals: 1" What does that mean? Does that mean that I have refered to them before? Or does it have anything to do with the little "buddy list" thing?

If I remember correctly, when someone signs up they are asked if they have been referred to the site by another member.

But elsewhere Admin said that "somewhere in your profile is a link you can use to refer people to the forum. When they click the link and sign up you get a "referral." Referral points are worth absolutely nothing. It is a system that comes with the forum software. Its just another user statistic."


The referral number relates to how many people have named that person as a referee :)
