It's as if it doesn't exist! I enjoyed North & South immensly and it isn't even mentioned here.

Do you mean this (http://www.readbookonline.net/title/40/)? (scroll down)

There might not be North and South on this site but there's others here (http://www.online-literature.com/elizabeth_gaskell/).

Jay: I saw those, what I meant is that there's no specific forum to discuss it. ^_^

Northern: While I can’t claim that the story is without flaws, I would recommend it without reservation to anyone who is a fan of classic literature. I think that the beauty of the story lies in Gaskell’s skillful treatment of subject matter, in bringing a situation to life and showing the many-sided and complicated way that people of different backgrounds and temperaments interact for the common good.

Have you read any of her other novels? Wives and Daughters perhaps?

Then you might want to go here (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=140) and create a thread about it :)
Or you might get more viewing in General Literature chat (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=4).
