she wonders why love has cast her away.
she can never see who really loves her,
the difference between love and hate only seems to fade.
she only smiles when the rain falls down,
she feels like someone really cares.
she only cries when they turn away,
so they don't see her pain.
the pain seems to fade away
only when she sleeps, and she dreams.
will they stop fighting,
will mom stop crying,
when will dad come home,
when will they see what they've doon.
she can't love, she's too afraid.
she smiles through the pain,
so no one knows the truth.
she wears a mask that hides the pain,
but it wears thin with every passing day.
she drowns her sorrows
with her good friend Jack.
he only helps to dull the pain,
untill she wakes again.
all they do is fight,
mom only seems to cry,
and dad never seems to come home.
so they will never know.
