newbie to the site

Hi. I have just recently discoverd this site. Am I correct in my assumption that forum members are willing to critique people's writing? If I am, (forgive this stupid question :goof: ) how does one post an essay for coments? I don't know if posting an essay of 500 + words is appropriate in a thread.

Here's one suggestion: Type one sentence at the top. "Help wanted: Please critique this."

Then copy your source from your word processing program and paste it below the above sentence on this forum. I don't know how long a piece you are talking about, but if it is too long, you can submit it in two or more posts.
