This is a poem I wrote for my little daughter:

Angels

Heaven’s run out of angels
‘Cause they’re all down on earth
United in a single being - In you –

You've been my life
From the very first day
I knew you exist

I had to strive
To make my own way
But you're my bliss

A look in your eyes
And I don't see him
But that's all right

In you it lies
What I have been
You are my light

Blue eyes, blonde hair
A skin like porcelain
That's my angel
Blue eyes, blonde hair
My life's not in vain
You're my angel

Heaven’s run out of angels
‘Cause they’re all down on earth
United in a single being - In you –

Yay! another Mommy. :)
My children have dark brown hair and eyes, but your poem still brought tears to my eyes.
Nicely expressed, hemial.

Beautiful... Altough i'm still (very) young and far away from having kids...
I think it is Beautiful! very simple very direct .. With simple words i was still able to feel and share the enormous love you have for your little daughter, i know when she'll grow up she'll love it. Bravo!

Thanks so much for your words!

I was nearly crying when I wrote it. My Mom said, this might be due to my being "a late mother", means my daughter was born when I was close to forty.

I never thought I could write a poem that makes readers feel like this.

Greetings.
