This room I think is a good part of this book it provides suspense and makes the reader what is really in there when they first read about it. I think that this room 101 is the worst toture room in the minisrty of love but what do they do in there that makes you convert before they vaporize you. Maybe they know your worst fears and exploit them maybe they give them an unbearable type of torture I don't know I am not that far yet. What I am wondering is what can be so horrible that you change your mind about a thing you hate so much, I mean of course I am not saying I am a man-o-steel which I am but if the rebels weren't worried about dieing when would they change their thoughts? I understand why Big Brother converts them before they vaporize them to make sure there is no life sacrifices and marters. But I wonder what can be so horrible that will change a radical's mind? Does anybody else wonder why the radicals change their mind

That's exactly what you're supposed to wonder. Orwell builds the tension and anticipation expertly. Keep reading - you'll find out - but can you bear to?
