hi all,
My friend is going to have a Master entrance exam in the English literature very soon .She asked me how she can prepare herself for it. I suggested some ways and I gave her some books along with some good lweb sites concerning lierature. Yet , I believe I'm not that experienced person to tell her particularly regarding poetry and that test .

Please don't hesitate to tell what the basic literary knowledge is from your point of view, that she must have before the entrance exam .Bay the way ,the exam is a written one .

Thanks in advance!

Hi Ranoo,

When I took my MA test, I was lucky that it was within days of my graduation and I did not need to study for it as such but I did read over English Literature by Burgess (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0582552249/qid=1137376715/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-0090953-3687039?s=books&v=glance&n=283155), which was one of the recommended books at my university. I think it is fair to say that everything you have been learning over the years helps.

Also, for us EFL learners, 'a word a day' rule is very handy! :)
