It is incredible how similars are my feelings and those in Winston's mind
If you think than George Orwell's book is about fiction you have no idea how venezuelans feel under the government of Hugo Chavez

Interesting you should say that, Moreto. We get different slants from our media on how Venuzulans feel. It's hard for me to judge what's the truth. I hope you're right. If Venezuela remains a democracy, he will be voted out. Then I think the real stand off may occur.

Strange, I was watching a video about Hugo Chavez in my English class few classes ago and Hugo Chavez is depicted a good man who tries to help the poor people who make up the major population in Venezuela by sharing the wealth from the oil industry and it also talk about the coup taken against him few years ago and how millions of people walked up to the Palace to protest against that provisional government. I kinda wanna know more about the country now.

i am a venezuelan myself and i lived in venezuela since chavez's election as a the venezuelan president. I love my country and i grew up in it. I know the truth behind the whole "i love poor people" thing that chavez has created. he has killed and tortured many innocent people, he is another crazy communist pig in the world that wants power and doesnt care about his country. he has disrespected our national symbols and even the sacred name of our country and liberator. my family and i we forced to leave the country because president chavez and his good people were threatening my family and because my father feared for his life. thanks to him our country is a miserable place. i have nothing against you, you are just a victim of the media. 1984 is a great book and it is a clear example of what chavez dream is
