I was doing a book report on Isaac Asimov's Foundation series and I forgot some characters and planets so I tried to find an online Foundation resource. I first went to Wikipedia and looked their. They had a reasonable amount of information but they were still missing some important things. Next I went to the external links and found only three that were reasonably informative. One of those websites had significantly more about Foundation then the others so I looked there. I got the information I needed but the layout of that website was so bad that I want to...um...I don't know, but it was really bad. So I decided that I needed to start a Foundation database and what better way to do that then to create a wikicity.

AsimovWiki (http://asimov.wikicities.com/wiki/Main_Page)

I did but then I forgot about the entire reason of getting a wikicity, having lots of people edit it. I was going through and writing/rewriting all of the articles.

So here is my sales-pitch (I'm not actually selling anything). I was wondering whether anybody would want to check out AsimovWiki and help work on some articles. This wiki is still in its infancy and has less then 30 articles but with some work from anyone that's actually reading this it could become a great foundation universe/Asimov resource.

Thanks for listening to me ramble, if you don't want to devote your life to working on AsimovWiki like I have recently then just post here talking about the Foundation series in general.

It's all about the Mule.

It's all about the Mule.

 I don't understand what you mean by that. Could you clearify.

If you mean that the entire series is about the mule then you are mistaken.

The Foundation books are high and above almost all the books of its genre. It portrays a feeling of history rather then of fiction. I have always catagorized Foundation as a "Historical Science-fiction". I can picture having a history test on the proximate cause of the creation of the Second Foundation, or a timeline of events leading to the decline of the Empire.

Please explain what you meant by that statement about the mule and we can have a dicusstion about it.

When I was a teenager I feared that either me or Mr. Asimov died before I read the end of Foundation series.

We both endured.

May his soul rest in peace.

He was one of the greatest SF writers of all times.
