Super Powers

In this novel their are three super powers.The United States,eurasia,and eastasia.All the other countries are used for natural resources.The super powers are allways at war with one another and constantly changing allies.I believe the reason is that one super power tries to defeat the other one.The one that wins has been weakened so it can be defeated more easily.This is the reason why none of the super powers will try to defeat another super power.

First of all, the three superpowers were Eurasia, Eastasia and OCEANIA, which cosisted of the Americas, Australia and Britain (where Winston lives).

Secondly, the reason the superpowers are at a continuous stte of war is not because the "winner" would become weak, but because NO ONE can become weak. As described by the Party motto "War is Peace," the war is only used to keep the resources of Oceania in use. This creates jobs for the people, because the country will always need resources.
