Thank you everybody for your kind thoughts, and to you Scher for the wonderful cake.
And yes, I do get double presents!...sometimes I feel as if it was closer to triple...As I am part Czech, we open half the presents on the 24th [of December] for Czech Christmas and the other half plus my birthday presents on the 25th.
I liked Jay's idea of playing host (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14972&page=1&pp=15) with the bikkies on her birthday, so I'd like to invite you all to a buffet meal in my favourite online classy restaurant...
Join me... (http://static.flickr.com/16/21976306_f508be1561.jpg)
Vegetarians are, of course, catered for.
It is a world cuisine restaurant, however Chinese food is their specialty...mmm....
;)

PS Sorry for being late.

You were born on the same day as Jesus. Amazing.
:D He was born on the 24th in the Czech Republic, so instead we call the 25th "Darcymas"...:p
[Kidding.]
Well, Merry-the-day-after-the-day-after-Christmas and thank you again everyone. ;)
Happy belated Birthday Miss Darcy! Sorry I missed it. But you could say that I celebrated it by proxy. Three of my husbands neices were all born on the same day just after Christmas and since we're all together anyway, we have a cake and the whole bit.
Wait... Jesus was born on Dec 25??? I thought it was just the difference of giving presents a few hours later for some other countries. Confusing thing this thing.
:bday_2: Happy birthday, Darcy! :bday_2:
(piccies later, gotta go)

Wait... Jesus was born on Dec 25???
According to some countries, yes. ;) However, since historians tend to agree that it is highly improbable that Jesus was born at the end of December at all, I guess it's just a matter of personal taste/national custom whether to celebrate it on the 24th or the 25th...

And yours too Riesa, especially a certain one. I am saving for a ton of hay to send to you oh and yes choice oats and a hand carved saddle with silver trappings for a certain gift you want.

Miss Darcy Has A Birthday
Miss Darcy was a lady of refined taste,
She loved classical music and good books and tea
She seldom or never did anything in haste
But always took the time to think philosophically.
She made beautiful music on her own violin,
Nimble fingers dancing over the strings.
They say it could charm a bird right down off a tree limb,
An ethereal sound that could give your spirit wings!
She loves to dress up like the characters in her stories,
And to be sure, the look suits her any surely it would.
For a moment she can seem like a child with no worries--
I'm certain that comes from a heart that is good.
And so on your birthday, Miss Darcy, to your health!
May the future bring you everything else...
