I dont understand how winston and Julia dont get caught in the prole section. Im guessing its quite obvious that they arnt proles. So why dosnt the guy Winston bought the pen and book from and the guys he rents his appartment from from rat them out.

Well c-star player, you need to take a good look at the whole general picture of whether it is just him and Julia, and the people Julia have dated,and if they are the only people that disagree with Big Brother... I think it is quite possible that these people are well aware of what they are doing and respect it too. I mean if you knew that some one had found a way to get freedom and rebel, though you could not do the same, wouldn't you go as far as you could without being caught, to help them gain this freedom that they are craving? I know I would because even though i couldn't get this "some-what freedom" that these people have a chance for I would atleast let them have it if they could.
