And if Kiz wants some to make berry wine shes more that welcome to help herself!
Oh, I was so hoping that you'd offer! Many thanks, I'll be on it at once...
**the others sincerely hope that she has a good strong churn and not stomp the berries with her bare feet as she had done in the past**

Oh, the food is totally scrumptious, Niamh! Ye've outdone yourself yet again!

Well we already buried Robin and i've already robbed Kilteds drinking money, soooo....... How about we raid a castle?

your wish is my command, Niamh. Extract of valerian mixed with milk takes care of the sleeping potion, what strength'd ye want fer the poison?
And....perhaps we ought to ask Friar Pentucken's blessin' afore we leave? Just as sort of safekeeping, like?

[Moby opens the dimensional window a crack.] Pst. Andave? Ye maun loike this, but be careful o' it! Me cousin, Th' Midgaurd Serpent, hae th' most deadly poison ever, they say it be written that e'en Thor will die frae it at Göttdamerung, and he a full-born God. why, the thought nivver crossed my mind! It was merely a bit of...professional interest. That's all. So now, dragon, I've done my research and *defy*you (as much as a (stupid)person can defy a dragon) to read my mind on this one. And thank ye kindly for thinking of me, and thank your cousin for me. So strong hm? Is there a way to dilute it, say? If I din't want it quite so strong? how fast does it work?

Owwww.... how are we going to raid and capture a castle without sticks? And I dont know where your money is I think I fed some of it to the geese to see if it would encourage them to lay me some golden eggs. hasnt worked so far but I can allways hope.
Or you could come lend a hand or two and refill your coffers of gold with what we raid from the castle, I hear they have quite a treasure trove:nod:.

[Moby Dave...mentally to Andave] Dilute? Dinnae ken, Luv. Gae me a second, mind. [Contact is broken] Well, I'm back. Bloody cheek of me cousin. He laughed at me. Ye'll not have opened the jar? Dinnae let it touch yer skin; a speck and ye are gone. Middy says that jar will kill nigh on 100,000 mortals. Ye maun want to gae 'er back. Should've niver trusted yon Lindwurm. [Moby Dave, still using Dragon telepathy to talk to Andave] Where dae it come frae? Well, 'tis me cousin's breath liguified. Aye, it be written that Thor shall perish frae that very breath. His hammer will dae a grand job on me cousin's head. Well, cousin twice removed. He's actually Loki's kid ye ken. Got a great wolf name of Fenris frae a brother, and a half-dead, evil faced frost giant sister called Hela. She's a tough 'un. Lives in Nifleheim, and few can survive e'en a glimpse. So, I'll take the bottle back and, well, dash it all, a dragon hates tae gae up gold but here, take this chest. [Grumbles under his breath] Sponser ye anyroad, Good bye. *blushes* I can't thank ye enough for the funds, Master Moby Dave, we Merryfolk'll make good use of it! Well naow, I must tell ye, I saw that Hela once! oooh, I shiver to think on it! It was in a dark forest glade on the side of a big mountain, I was gathering some herbs for some potions when I heard a thundering noise that struck fear inta my heart! The sheer volume of it! I fell to my knees and cowered in fear! Finally the noise stilled and I opened my eyes. oh heavens! a foot soled in a deerskin leather rested beside my head. I looked up and saw a face and that's all I remember till I came to in a cave with some friendly folk tending to me. *shivers* I dinnae think of it very often but it was a long while afore I felt comfortable alone!

I be doing fine, thank thee very much, though my head still swims a bit. You have a nip or three of brandy, for medicinal purposes, lass, I will not be guzzling the ale and things, just a bit o' brandy. By the Saints, that Dragon's flagon should be impounded by the authorities, tis nigh death for mortals to drink from it.
[Looks ruefully at a half-empty bottle of brandy] Ah, well. Nay, lass, this will do. I must learn to warch myself. Tottle on now.
Anya exits. Pentuck watches her go, and pulls two more bottles from under his bed. Ah, I wonder if any one else will check on my health. Good collection of brandy now. Hee-hee-hee.

*niamh stumbles into view holding her head* What happened? My head feels like i've been wolloped in the head with a branch! I'll i remember is after the last raid, i was leaving my tunnel, a bag of treasure on me back and then..Bam! i wake up, with me head in a pile of leaves, lying beside an empty bottle of scotch and no bag on me back!

Pentuck enters carefully so as to appear perfectly sober.
Has there been an assult on the lass there, and her robbed here in our own greenwood, and none feel need to bestir themselves and find out who these detestible knaves and hooligans be? Fie, tis not like the Merryfolk to allow such to a strager passing through our wood, by our lady, far less on of our own. Are any going to stand by the code of the forest, good Robin, as brave hearts and true, or shall I call an avenger who will not stop until the harm be revenged? Shall I call for Moby Dave and let a Dragon Lord loose again in our greenwood?
Pentuck has swayed at first in his stance, but by the end of his speech the fire is in his eyes and the drink gone from his voice.
Am I to have an answer?

Whoop! Friar, tis a right stirring speech and no mistake. But, I was rather of the opinion that...there might be a wee bit of forgetfulness on the part of the lass? After all, a hard days work deserves a little bit of rest and pleasure?
Pendragon

Pentuck eyes Andave coldly
Can the lass not speak for herself? Come then, were you assulted or no? I have heard much of late about my lying about drunken, and mayhap I have slipped a time or three. But if any wish to speak to me about my sad habits now, face to face as it were, there sill be strength in these arms and skill in my sword!
A crowd of Merryfolk have gathered to watch the angry Friar
I thought not. Brave behind my back ye may be, to my face, ye remember me well enow. But come lass, were ye assulted or no? But soft a moment...bottle o' scotch, did ye say? Woozy are ye? Can't recall nothing, feel like a whallop on the head?
Pentuck's grey eyes narrow
Tis thee I should whallop! Ye speak of me lying about drunken! This lass has not been assulted, she has the hangover from too much drink! And here I get all fired up and ready to do battle for ye! Here, someone, a mug of ale, but only one. And get her t'bed so she can sleep it off. Humpf! I could have used a good battle too. Got my blood stirring!
Niamh

aye i was attacked, make no mistake of it. Surely you can see the dry blood in my hair from where the fiend hit me. But i want no fuss. Be still Friar, i'm alive and thats all that matters. Leave moby Dave to his slumber. Eventually the coward will turn up. For surely i'll recognise my own plunder. There was a nice golbet there was. Was gonna give it to yonder charcoal burners so they could have a decent meal and a good rest in an inn.
now if someone could get me a damp clath and a bowl of water, i'd like to wash the blood from my hair, and tend to my wound.*sits a on log and picks up the empty bottle of scotch* They obviously thought they'd murdered me and had a drink to celebrate their luck at my bag of treats.

Sit on this stool, now, and drink some of this stuff, it'll make your headache gang away. I'm going to heat some water and add some herbs to it and comb that stuff out of your head. I rather doubt Scotch is good for hair tonic!

Ok, that truth serum should've worn off by now. So its back to underhanded mischief;)
First up is the small matter of interest owed by Miss Night
You know we charge interest for monies taken from that fund, but I'm kinda shylockish about it in as much as I'd far prefer to exact pain instead of get the money back :)
And when should we be expecting payment, the way I figure it I must be due a stackload of gold/ale/ or flesh

Well this is a fine thing I have stumbled into!. A leisurely walk through a rather lush and green forest in me best Forest Green velvet and lace gown and just like that I hear a zing and when I take my lovely hat with the ostrich plume off me head what do I see then? An arrow that's what, stickin in. A mere fraction of an inch and I'd be standing above the earth.
And just who in fact was that rather portly gentleman who came puffin round the corner said something like 'bless you' or was it bless him.....
and then a scream and a dead chicken fell from somewhere high up in the tree.Another arrow.
And worst was that a sweet lad of about eighteen came running by just now politely asking if I had seen a chicken, it was his beloved pet Agnes and he wanted to collect her and take her home for supper.
I merely looked at him as if I were a foreigner and did not speak anything other than Gaelic and when he left I retrieved the dead chicken from under the tall grasses I was sittin next to and buried it.
What on earth is going on?
I'm tired and hungry and have lost my way. Where in fact am I then?

Bless Me, Lass, but if you are not going to eat yon chicken, I think I'll be taking it back. Nay, the Good Book doth say nothing going into a man defiles him, it comes out in the dross... Asides, the dirt is only on the feathers, and ol' Pentuck will pluck this bird and singe 'er, and boil up supper. Welcome t'join me, you look hungry.
This is Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood and the Merryfolk. Come on, come on don't sit there like you don't understand plain English. I've traveled in your part of the world and I know you understand me. Lesse, I have a bottle o' Claret stashed away. Chicken and Claret. Sound good?
Niamh
02-27-2008, 04:43 PM
I hope you aint intending to drink some of that Claret Friar? Have you forgotten what happened that last time, or do i need to get a large fire breathin' dragon to appear to remind ya?
*Taking bloody rag from her head as Adya, continues to prepare some bandages. Spots the Sneaky Scot hovering towards the newcomer with a cheeky grin on his face and glares suspiciously at him. Whats that shiny gold thing in his back pocket?*
Your more than welcome to join us for some good grub of chicken and what not. Plenty of food to go around.

Pentuck shivers and makes the sign of the cross Nay, now Miss Niamh, ye'll not be calling Moby Dave on me, so get your hand off that silver whistle! Asides, he said three days on water, and three days it were. You can't have poultry without the correct wine, and I'm only having it with my meal. Moby doesn't want me drunken, and so I shan't be. You just want some yourself, and faith, lass, 'tis a big enough bottle. Took it from the Archbishop's place. More a great jar like than a bottle. Hah! You'll get your share! http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l108/AbsalomKane/Monk_walks.gif

Well, if we stand here arguing, M'lady, this chicken won't cook itself. And you must admit ol' Pentuck to be one of Sherwood's better Chefs. I'm told we have a brace o' grouse, a pheasant, and three ducks as well as four more chickens for me to deal with. And others have donated Claret as it is the perfect wine for poultry, for sauce and for aperitif. I must attend to my cooking.
Why don't you try to make this silent lass at home? She pretends to no English, and you speak other languages, do you not? She laughed at my French. I’m more than a trifle rusty... I think she speaks Gaelic.

Niamh darling, you seem a comely and straightforward lass, and since I am quite confused and hungry enough to eat the Sheriff's hand if he doth cross my path, I shall pull myself up and follow you wherever you go.
Now this Robinhood fellow, are you talking young Robin of Loxley then who seems to have disappeared after pinning a loud mouthed ruffian with his arrow and then fleeing to parts unknown?
Why I know some of his kith and kin. I hope he can cook a sheep or ox as well as his dear aunt Elspeth.
Well let us away then dear girl, I am faint from hunger.
