Is it just me or does the whole thing sound WAY too much like communism?
Orwell's novel was about totalitarianism, which had appeared as both communist states (Soviet Union) and fascist states (Nazi Germany.) Once the state assumes total control over the lives of its citizens, the difference between left-wing and right-wing becomes a moot point.
