Hello All,

I am new to this site and need your help. I understand that many people here are young and you may not be able to help me to the extent that is required. I am writing a paper that must describe three points of satire in Animal Farm. I need your help in:

A: Establishing which points of satire to discuss, and

B: Finding useful information that describes said points of satire.

All help will be greatly appreciated. And, for those of you who don't know:

Satire: Irony, sarcasm, or caustic wit used to attack or expose folly, vice, or stupidity.

In this case the satire would be attacking the vision of a Utopia made by Old Major.

Thank you,

LS

PS: Because this post is far too professional:

I'll do my best to help you with giving you some ideas.

You need to remember, this is a satire based on the U.S.S.R's attempt to create a communistic government, which is technically impossible thanks to human nature. Take a look at the slow changes in the pigs. From the beginning, the pigs were kind rulers. Giving the animals full access to all food they wanted. Soon, Snowball was ousted and was declaired a traitor. The former second class animal hero was then put on the spotlight, and whoever found him would receive a reward.

the pigs soon got greedy and began changing the commandments of Animal Farm. Soon, everything continued to change until the point where you couldn't distinguish the difference between pig and man.

I'm sorry that little short review is a bit jagged, but do look over the book AND NOT the summaries. Try to look for online sources relating the animals of the farm to the verious positions of the U.S.S.R. public.

If you think what your english teacher makes you do is rough, I'm doing all this at the sophomore high school level =/.

yes the book is good and we're studying it at school right now but is an essay really necessary? wouldn't a discussion be better? I hate over-analyzing
