For anyone interested, The Guardian has posted it's list of the Top 100 Novels of All Time.

First list I've seen where Ulysses was anywhere below #10 (in fact, it's #45).
That whole list blows if you ask me.
Hey, The Cather in the Rye on 61th place? It's a nice book...
I enjoyed Don Quixote very much, but I don't understand why it's at the top. I can't beleive that they put Charolotte's Web above Lord of the Rings!!
So it seems we're generally going to agree, the list sucks ;)

I couldn't believe they thought collections of short stories were to be considered novels--you'd think they'd know the difference.
And isn't Ian McEwan's Atonement a littl modern to be beating out some of the great books on this list, it only came out 2 years ago, if that.
I'd put 1984 and 100 years of solitude a bit higher in the list?
And where's Crime and Punishment???
And 'The periodic Table' by Primo Levi...Well might be Ok but he wrote much better and much more important stuff.

The books were in chronological order.

That's the dumbest idea for a list I've ever heard. Chronological order?
Who cares about a list of dates?
Yeah, I'd be looking for the list in order from the best to the... less good ;).
The books were in chronological order.
Ah lol...not a top 100 thingy... Just a list of best stuff...uhm... silly me... ?

Might be just me, but it still sounds the same to me... top 100 and best stuff... you know what I mean?
Well... I can't check the thingy anymore `cause you have to sign in and I can't be bothered... did anyone copy and paste it? I'd like to seee again.
As for the books being in chronological order, that seems alright. As a historian I have a value on seeing information displayed this way.
