As you all may know, last week the first partial face transplant was done. george orwell in 1984 predicted this would happen. What will this lead to? criminals? for his time orwell had a very precise image of the future. espiecially in medical advancements, such as artifficial insemination. that was'nt even around back then. what do you think?

if we keep up with all of the techology advances then all the thing they will do will be out of this world i thinking that something in the end of the book orwell will predict that there will be rebots ruling

George Orwell in 1984 predicted face transplants would happen. i agree on if we keep up on all the technology advances then anything is able to happen, and even criminals could as well get them. But i wonder, how did Orwell suspect or know that these medical advances would happen or come to be in the future. Higher Machinery and People being very smart and careful is what is mostly needed so mabybe he predicted that in the future everyone would get smarter and higher technology would come to be.I believe that we do have many things that they didnt have back then so hes pretty much correct :santasmil .

The most amazing facial manipultion I ever saw was in the film "Brazil." I don't know how they did it, but actress Katherine Helmond went through such freakish changes I couldn't take my eyes off of her. The whole movie was a incredible visual delight despite having an abstruse plot.
