Does anybody here have Satellite Radio? I'm contemplating getting the XM to go but since it's a nice little chunk of change I'd like to get some opinions on it??

I don't have one but if I know what you are actually talking about others I know do and LOVE them. How expensive are they anyway? I am going to ask clayton about them today and get back to you.

I don't have one either. A fellow at work has one. He uses it mostly for sports. I actually had one in a rental car once for a couple of days. You had a lot of stations of various types of music, sports, talk, whatever with no commercials. For me I don't mind the commercials too much. If you're interested in music, an ipod type of thing would be just as good. And soon car radios will have adapters to plug them in. For sports, how much sports does one actually need. For talk, there's plenty of talk on regular radio already. Except if you're into the foul mouth type of talk like Howard Stern, who now can be totally unfethered. That kind of talk is repulsive to me anyway. So for me, I don't see why I would want one.

I'm in Kansas!! I need the variety of music. The stations here are stuck in the 80's. It was pretty cool when I first moved here I was diggin' the fact that they played Matthew Sweet - now I realize he's still in the rotation....

Kansas? How come your location underneath your avatar says Michigan? Well, it's up to you. Internet radio stations are free. But that won't help in the car. Are you in the car that long? For the car I have lots of cassettes and CDs. Me, personally, I can't see paying for radio. But I said that about cable TV at one time too.

I moved to Kansas last march. I want it mostly for home, I need "new" music. I feel lost, musically. I guess when I get a new computer I can get internet stations....
