Ballad Help!!!

Hey guys,
I have a ballad to write for school and I am TOTALLY stuck. :blush:
Any ideas to write a ballad on?? I'm usually pouring with ideas..but lately I've been suffering from extreme writer's block. please help!!

Hmm...if you're seeking a romantic ballad, then what I would probably do is write down your perception of the perfect romance, whether your preference is a knight in shining armor or a stubble-wearing woodsman (both of which, interestingly enough, turn up in the Lord of the Rings movies), assign names accordingly, and write the story of how you perceive it'll happen. If not, then default policy takes precedence, and write about any narrative that strikes your fancy. There's plenty of writing websites online (WritersDigest.com is a personal favorite of mine) that list writing prompts to try and help spark your creativity. Best of luck!
