You have succeeded in your game
You with the guise of friend
You took my hope and all my love
You bring about my end.

Spring will come, you say to me
It is the natural way
Spheres rotate, I know it's true
But light comes with the day

All is still, rotation stopped
The land no longer breaths
Horizon dark, truth stark
Illusion just decieves

Earth beneath my palms I dig
removing dirt and stone
Deftly tossing them aside
I must make my new home

The crutch of hope, yes, I held
It was what all I had
With broad smile, you ripped away
Of pain, I know your glad.

You have succeeded in your game
My thoughts a cryptic mess
When you've lost your one true love
May Hell show you it's best.

Grievous...:-(
It seems to me that these are the loser's deeper thoughts in store, talking in despair, quite according with my own experience...
Maybe love is not so innocent, and we are all victims, as "love is taught hypocrisy from youth"...

Great poem. It made me feel the pain of someone losing their one true love.
