i'm currently doing a report on Katherine Mansfield's" The Garden Party". not that i want you to write it for me, but i'm just curious to see who's read her, and if you've read this story. i actually had never even heard of her until i had to write this paper.

I have read this story. I have never heard of her until I studied her stories at school.

I have to say Garden Party is one of her better and easier to understand stories

I just discovered her about 2 weeks ago, have yet to read the garden party, but plan to right after I finish "At the Bay"

Fantastic author in all categories. I'll have to reread that story in order to help you out on the analysis, though I'm sure there are scholarly papers available if you are looking for secondary sources.

Edit: After rereading the story I feel ready to give an accurate account of my feelings regarding the text. A question I want to propose about the story however is: Was it right of Laura to go down with the basket, or should she not have?
