Hello Everybody,

It is a tradition that every year, on November 1st (All Saints Day) and 2nd (All Souls Day), Mexico has a festival where we honored ours deceased ancestors. This festival has its origins with our indigenous ancestors, such as Aztecs, Mayans...
All Saints Day its for the deceased children they became little angels and the All Souls Day is for the deceased of our adults relatives. They are honored by their families with displays of their favourites things, like toys, food and some personal belongings. Some people spend all day long beside the graves of their relatives honoring them.
Here are some websites where you can know a little more about it.

We also have celebration of the deads on 2nd November, though since this is not holiday anymore, the day when people go to the cemetery to visit their deads has become 1st Nov., even if it's All Saints. We don't have special festivals tho.

I wrote two long stories inspired by the Day of the Dead and later adapted one into a screenplay.

I first saw the Day of the Dead celebration in the little shrimp-fishing town of San Blas, Mexico, and I was fascinated by the ghoulish costumes, blaring music and general merriment. Reminded me of Mardi Gras in New Orleans. I stayed up until 3 a.m. taking photographs and videotape before I collapsed from exhaustion and mescal. The party continued until dawn.

I thought you were talking about Romero's great zombie film. We have All saints' day in France too, though it's of course very different.
