Well this is the first thread I've ever started on this forum, but I'm excited and wanted to share with some people who might appriciate it, that I got offered a job in Waterstones [a UK bookshop] thisafternoon :D

I've never had a job before [I'm 19 *cough*] but this is the place I most wanted to work! The hours suit me wonderfully [although they may not suit everyone, weekdays 7am - 11am LOL] & you get to wear whatever you like except blue jeans & white trainers!

YAY!! :D ... think of the discount!

Cool!
Me too, I'm actually thinking of applying at a cd/books etc shop, for a few months at least, since one month away from graduating I realised that my degree will take me nowhere so I'd better make some money then leave for a while then studying again maybe...
*sighs* I actually have moments of true desperation about the job thing... I had an interview for a job I really wanted, but I wasnt chosen...and now all the other job offers I see are not as good... ok I want a job for some months, not for life... but still...what am I going to do of my life... I'm 23 and I've never had a serious job, I'll have a useless degree and I have no practical skills nor knowledge of marketing and commercial stuff... I guess my CV wont impress anyone... (*still wondering what was wrong with that job I didnt get*)... But that's not the point...it's just that I am confused and lost and I dont know which direction to take and I dont know what I want anymore and I suppose I need to specialise my studies but first I have to choose in which way and I want to do that in the UK or abroad...

Uh sorry that was off topic but I'm just obsessed these days...I've always been scared of the future and the future is approaching...and will be here in one month...
Congrats at least to you...

I once worked as supervisor in a bookstore. Though I love books, yet I didn't love the job, mostly cause of the shift thingy. Well anyway that's just my experience..

Congrats to you Roco...Hope you enjoy it
