When I tried to call my friend Steve's celular telephone number a computerized voice told me that,"This number is not currently available."
The number I tried to call belonged to a great man, in some ways my Sensi, a mentor for life lessons, and truly a great, great friend. But he died this morning. And so he will not be answering any of my calls. He died far away from me. My gypsy travelling gene feels completely guilty, and well so.
I am a bit of a loner, I dance to a different drummer, I always have. My friend Steve, nickname, Magoo, had no family. Myself, and two other guys were his family, we were each others family, closer than bloodlines alone can allow. So my friend Steve was alone in life. I tried to make his life fuller by loving him dearly. And now, although I have a plethora of family and friends, I, the semi-loner, am left to carry on in a world made softer by Steve's presence. I currently weep, and drink rum, Steve's favorite.
Please, hug someone you care for, live for the day. And please post no replies............
