What are your favorite gaming consoles and why?

I have always been a fan on Nintendo's systems because they follow an other policy than Sega and Sony. There more about the fun of gaming. I mean who cares about playing a totally realistic fps or football game? The important thing is the fun you have not how real it looks, I think Nintendo have always stuck to that line, taking huge risks like with the DS (which is doing quite well after all even though it seemed as if it were doomed to failure against the PSP) and always innovating (controlers).

Couldn't agree with you more. People in my grade (9th) always tell me that Nintendo's games are childish, but if this "childish" games are more fun then a driving simulation (something you can do every day when you get your license) then what does it matter.

Once again I agree with you, I love the innovation Nintendo uses rather then just conforming to what the mainstream wants and will buy.
I often bring up Nintendo in forums and am always shunned. Xbox and Playstation fans are everywhere but none of them can seem to give me clear, articulate reasons that their system is better. Please Xbox and Playstation fans, if you can give me some reasons why your respective systems are better then I would love to have a discussion with you.

I don't really have a favorite system. All I care about is if the game is fun. I do have to say that I have never had as much fun playing a game then when playing Mario Kart on Super Nitendo with about four friends, and I still think Goldeneye is the best FPS ever. I don't care about graphics which to many people get hung up on. That is why I still have my Genesis from '90 and my playstation which I still play Intelligent Cube, Command and Conquer:Red Alert and Resident Evil series on.

I've been known to play so often and I'll have to say except for a few games nintendo's dropped the ball (Viewtiful Joe and 2 and Super Samsh Bros. Melee). If I get one of the next gen console, it'll probably be Xbox 360. I found few games on the purple lunchbox that I liked. Xbox has Halo 3. End of debate.

I was also thinking of maybe giving up Nintendo for the next gen as Xbox 360 and PS3 were looking really good, but then Nintendo showed what they have done with the Revolution and especially its controler and I think they've managed to be unique once again.
