I need a new dictionary!

can anyone recommend me a good dictionary to study classic literature with? it should not be too extravagant or bulky, but easy to use, not verbose, and accurate in definition. thanks 8)

The Oxford American Desk Dictionary is sufficient for me.

I recently bought a Longman dictionary. It's for non-native speakers, I think, and it's pretty fun you can read it from cover to cover if you want to.
