A riddle thread :)
basically I'll post a riddle, and the next person has to answer the riddle(correctly) and post another one(so don't answer and post the riddle in the same post because the answer may be wrong) :) try to make the riddle as well(your own riddle... you created it) I'm so anxious to post the riddle I recently created... but I feel like starting off easily:
Me before you
You after me
Me
Me

this is what it's all about

A man is found dead on an island. There is no food or water but he did not die of starvation or dehydration. He was young and healthy. How did he die?

Aliens accidentally mistook him for a wanted interstellar criminal and zapped his arse from outer space causing him to become quite dead. After they found he had nothing to do with the actual criminal except for the freakiness of the universe that made him identical to the criminal. They teleported him to the island to mask their mistake and not get arrested by the space police, who wouldn't have bothered anyway, if it weren't for the fact that the guy was originally a donuts seller.

Okay, I'll answer your questions:
the man did not drown and he wasn't already dead when he was on the island. there are no other animals or plants on the island. he did not get dropped down by an aeroplane and die. he was young and healthy. So how did he die?

wait no, are you sure it wasnt the master criminal who did it himself when he was disguised as an alien so that the real aliens would think he was dead and he could then retire to a nice comfortable moon somewhere with his own cheesecake factory?

The whole things was a mix-up, where the guy thought he was on island A. but turned out to be on Island B, which is filled with deadly dinosaurs like velociraptors. These little buggers just shredded the guy into pieces, and that is how he died.

No suicide, uninhabited island.
It's very simple if you think outside the box.

It doesn't say he died on the island. He could have been killed on a helicopter and pushed out, eventually washing up on the island.

He died on the island.
Niamh
07-01-2008, 08:03 AM
The island was infact a small vocano, which was smoking at the time, hence why it was uninhabited and the person died of carbon monoxide poisoning from the smoke ash and soot. he was rescued before being burnt to a crisp by molten lava.

here's a riddle:
Whoever makes it, tells it not. Whoever takes it, knows it not. And whoever knows it wants it not.
Let's see if anyone can guess the answer
Okay, I'll answer your questions:
the man did not drown and he wasn't already dead when he was on the island. there are no other animals or plants on the island. he did not get dropped down by an aeroplane and die. he was young and healthy. So how did he die?
A coconut fell on his head.
Sapphire
04-10-2009, 04:58 AM
@Pussnboots
Either simply "a lie" or a more materialistic lie in the form of "counterfeit money".
@Kelby_Lake
Is it really a traffic accident? For that seems as logical as any of the other "outside the box" answers :) I really hoped it was something more ... I don't know. :brickwall I guess riddles are always obvious when you know the answer.
Another riddle:
I am large as a castle, yet lighter than air. Hundred men and their horses cannot move me. What am I?

No...I don't think so...works for the latter part, but it doesn't apply to the first part of the riddle
Sapphire
04-15-2009, 10:13 AM
@BienvenuJDC
Hmm... I was thinking like building the shadows of castles and tearing down the mountains to small shadows - maybe I got stuck in a way of thought too much ;)
What about money then? You can use it to buy everything you need to build a castle, buy dynamite to blow up a mountain. It can definitely blind people, but it can also open people's eyes for possibilities...
I think it's probably something else, but MONEY is the only thing I can think of :)
BienvenuJDC
04-15-2009, 10:24 AM
Literal castles literally being built (of)...literal mountain being torn down (by)
Literally blinding men (by)...literally helping men see (with)

Brad stared through the dirty soot-smeared window on the 22nd floor of the office tower. Overcome with depression he slid the window open and jumped through it. It was a sheer drop outside the building to the ground. Miraculously after he landed he was completely unhurt. Since there was nothing to cushion his fall or slow his descent, how could he have survived the fall?
