This website only features books fairly old. This is obviously because of Copyright laws. I made this thread to discuss books to recent to have their own section in here, eg. 1984, LOTR, 451, The Giver etc. I'll start.
1984- I'm only 13 and this book might be a little over my head, (just a bit), but I thougth it was an expertly played out, and the ending was brilliantlly done. It is one of my favorites. What better way to potray the autraucities in a totalarian world than by letting them win? And how close we were in the time period of George Orwell. America, Russia and China could very well have made it a reality at the time period. Though (for the present) George's nightmare has become obsolete, Huxley's Brave new world is all too real. But logically speaking, what is wrong with a Brave New World. Nothing, Actually many people would prefer to have a world like that. I myself have mixed feeling on the subject.
