Well, as we were made a DM and as a generation of ideas we came up with an idea that dreams are a very interesting possible occurrance.
So, we are thinking about creating folklore and situations about dreams - using real-world folklore, books and our own ideas.
But a little help wouldn't hurt, wouldnt it?

So, things that came up at first thought:

*relating to Coleridge - and what if, when you awoke, you had the flower in your hand - the characters take things with them from the dream.
*you mustn't eat anything in the dream
*nor must you answer when someone calls your name
*drones - (we found them in Pterrys "Wee Free Men") monsters that can create any sort of dreams they want - and make you to stay in it by tricking you to eat something (and when you eat something, they'll eat you ). But the drone cannot speak. They only way to escape the dream is to cut off the drone's head
*a shamanistic view: they go out of their bodies in dream/love (love doesn't mean the happy feeling here, but a trance) and their soul-bodies travel though realms
*afflicting someone in a dream can influence the real life
*dreams can predict things (though we won't probably use it)

Have you any other ideas?

whats a DM??
If we and by we I mean YOU are sciting dream related mythology whichis what I think is going on though addmittedly I am seriously confused here
**The night Mare -- Horses that carry dreams cant remember where I came across that.. no wait actually it might be piers anthonys Xanth novels.
OT: Has anyone else read these and do you agre thaey are rather like Pratchett novels??
** When you sleep you pass through the 'Veil of Tears" and thus are allowed to see some of the Unseen releam.

ERr is this the kind of thing you meant??

i think the details of dreams have no meaning. it is the overall view that one needs to comprehend, did u know 4 out of every 5 dreams are in black and white. can u ever remember a pattern of a rug or wall in a dream? i can't but i enjoy my dreams very much

DM means Dungeon Master in Dungeons and Dragons role-playing game. Dungeon Master is the person who runs the game. creates the world, the adventures, the non-player-characters, the possible plots and so on.

The dream-state should function like the Hero's journey: if he is able to accomplish the deed or task that is asked of him within the dream, he should be granted a boon.

humm I think see now
***Dreams can explain things that were previously confusing?
** whats it called? telepathy and whats the other? one talking to the dead and the future through dreams.
**But obviously dreams can still be just dreams without significance ( this is to do with your predicting things point makes it more confusing )
