well Ive decided that there is no point in moaningabout not being able to write stories if i dont try so I decided to try and put it up here so I dont just rip it up and lose my temper :D so here it goes my first ever real attempt...
_______________________________________________

I check the list again hoping against hope that I was wrong that for once the miraculous “M” would be beside number 33- no such luck, of course. I am getting closer only 12 houses more to go and as I get closer my steps get slower as if a few seconds would make a difference. Ten more houses. Thump, thump, thump, is that my heart or my feet??? Maybe this time I’ll be lucky, maybe God, mother nature the Powers that be, whichever, whoever, all of them have be thought the abomination that is 33 Apple crescent lane. Eight houses. Turn the corner, stop a little, okay breathe, breathe I knew all along it would still be there. Push down handle lift gate, mind the flowers find letter lift letter slot flap push through gently drop flap, get out close gate, lock gate. 2 more houses, only 2! Surly I’ve missed something! Why! Why me?! Its freezing I’m blowing smoke but still I’m sweating.
I hate this job. I really really hate this job.
Well here I am again 33 Apple crescent lane, nice enough looking house – you’d think considering everything it would at least have a huge black cloud hovering amongst its gables, wouldn’t you? At least it would act as some kind of warning. Truth is it’s a lovely little house cheerful garden, swing set, flowers in the window. The only sign you could take would be the gate, this gate seems to say you really don’t want to go in there kid, trust me. Hand over the top, lift handle with one hand lift the entire gate with other, kick with left foot. Don’t fall. Check parcel note and letter Mr. F. T. Brown.
Quietly now perhaps he hasn’t heard me. Lift flap through BARK BARK RIP. Ha! You missed Fluffy, my boy. Today its one for me!
No cuts, five whole fingers not even a scratch. And aren’t you going mad in there! But I won today’s this battle! Leave garden. Close gate. Did that gargoyle just wink at me?! Who cares I survived another day! Do a small victory dance in my head, don’t want to court complaints about inappropriate behavior. Fix hat. Well what’s next on the list?

I liked this and probably because I couldn't wait to get to the end to find out why the house was so dreaded! It made me chuckle. The plight of a harried postal worker! Very nice I'd say for a first attempt, just a few mistakes. Last line you have glance instead of dance or is that what you meant? I hope this has encouraged you to write more! It's fun isn't it!
