WHEN LOVE HAS NO PLEASURE

by Robert Davidson

Yours is the heartbeat I yearn to own
As I touch and lightly stroke your red-gold hair;
I almost feel the kiss of you upon my mouth,
But you push me aside, I stand in despair.

Who has loved has lived full measure,
Even tho' the wind sighs like a muted violin.
But when love has no pleasure
The tense strings throb no more.

One starlight night I thought to steal a kiss.
To bend your will to mine, my single goal;
But a waning moon stared icily down,
'Cause hurting you was like fighting my soul.

Who has loved has lived full measure,
Even tho' the wind sighs like a muted violin.
But when love has no pleasure
The tense strings throb no more.

I could have Quoted all of it....but, this line, Awsome.

Your an amazing man to write of love in this way.
The woman you long for, has she an Idea of your pain?
She'd be a fool to walk away....

I've read the others you've posted, as I'm sure, many
other females here have....I doubt I'm alone in saying..

- Men could learn a lot from your grasp of Love. *dreamy sigh*

Tense strings throb no more.

What a Void this leaves in the heart.
When I reached this pont, It affected my art.
(didn't mean to rhyme, but it happens all the time)

You never know what the future holds, When the two
of you are ready, and your not expecting it.
-She may be secretly wanting the renunion.

Ohh I do, wish the best for you. I should stop now....
I'm getting the nostolgic musshies...Dang Dude...your good.
