Yes, just a post for general amusement. Anyone who hasn't done so yet should really try to get a hold of a poet named Dan Turčll. Danish, hence it's near impossible to traslate his poetry, since it really requires an insight into danish culture. But for those who have the cappacity to go for it should try and read him. Great sarcasm!

Thanks for the suggestion, Chava. ;)
I did some searching around the Internet, and saw that Dan Turčll made music, too; he sounds very talented. For my next trip to the bookstore or library, could you recommend any good translators in English?

IMO, it's really sad to see that great works in literature can not be shared to people around the world, due to language barriers; not only poems but also literature works in general. I don't know whether this is the case on Turrel's works. There's one Indonesian master in literature, Pramoedya Ananta Toer, whose works have been translated to English (Chave, maybe you're familiar with the name :)), yet I feel there are some other Indonesian authors and poets, which I feel worth reading by people from anyywhere in the world.

I havdn't heard of him, but now my mom has run down the stairs to find several of his books for me to read, so I expect we will become aquainted soon enough. I do know Mochtar Lubis though, being the only Indonesian Author i really read.
