Glad to meet all of you. There seems to be intelligent life in this forum. Good.
I found this forum by accident, researching something from Shakespeare to better explain an allusion to my honor's students: the use of a reference to Caliban in Paule Marshall's Browngirls, Brownstones... I've been teaching a good while, and I often look at forums without joining. Something twitched in my Spidey sense, or maybe it was a slight disturbance in the force, but I thought I would stick in my toe and test the waters here. Buzz me any time.

Hey Burnsie!

Great to 'meet' ya...I agree, lots of good people here who actually seem to know a thing or two about literature. I'm a fellow teacher, though I teach music and not English. My freshman year of college my English Comp. and Lit. professor told me I should change my major. No good jobs in the 'music' field and I was born to write essays. LOL. Didn't do it, but enjoyed the compliment. Good for you!!

Heya, hope to see you posting around as that would mean you really enjoy the forums as your first impression suggest. We're a bunch of funny weirdos (hope noone will get offended but knowing them, they wont :D) who happen to sometimes talk about literature and sometimes it even looks like we make sense. Well, many of us actually really do...

Whatever... just welcome and enjoy! :)

Greetings, burnsie13, hopefully you will receive some good impressions of this place, among our members, and, working as a teacher, I have no doubt you could teach our "intelligent life" a number of lessons.
I hope to see you around.
