What is a "pun" ? I read Siddharta and I can say it's one of my all time fav. Maybe I can say more if I understan what "pun" is...

If there is a pun, it might be in the original German but not in translated editions.

No, I don't read German. Sometimes there are things in a book that can't be translated, and puns don't translate well.
