what is meant by fifth-form disco ?
what is meant by gory details ?

Well, I can't help you with fifth-form disco, but gory details are all the unpleasant (or to some people interesting) things about something in general. Gory details can mean the details given in gossip, or just in a description of something. For instance, while in nursing school, I got to observe many surgeries and procedures, but I don't always share the gory details. (I've got a stronger stomach than most people I know.) ;)
