Hi, I hope you benefit from this essay .
I beg your pardon if I have made mistakes for being non-nativespeaker.
Hymne to god my God , in my sickness

John Donne is a preacher and metaphysical poet. He composed this poem a few days before his death.
Comments:
He says that when he always comes to the Holy place (Church) , he is obliged to be part of his God orchestra or company of musicians with choir of saints of his God playing there forever . As he gets into the place, he adjusts the Instrument and what he should then think of is to listen and remember his past, sins and misdeeds within the concert. He says that physicians treat the patients and cosmographers know how to deal with maps and find ways, seas, oceans, passages and gulfs. However, when physicians become cosmographers he becomes their map that sprawled on that Place. They may reveal his cause of illness and the ways that lead to his chronic sickness but he is the only one who suffering and able to recognize his own affairs and disease before being a map which has all directions West, South, North and East. He is suffering from (Per fretum febris) the straits of the fever which are streets leading to death. These straits of his illness seem to be passages that guide to seas, gulfs and oceans. Within those straits of illness, he enjoys himself and he sees his last destination, his West. He states that events and his misdeeds made him in critical situation and got patient. Thus, death does not matter. It does not hurt him. Since West and East in all maps are gathered and he is one of them, so death leads to the Day of Judgment. He asks if the Pacific Ocean is his place or The Eastern riches are his treasure. Is Jerusalem his home? Anyan , Magellan and Gibraltar are passages that lead to places where the three sons of Noah : Japheth , Chem. and Sam dwelt . The poet again restates that people think Paradise, Calvary (the place where Jesus was killed) and Adam tree (the tree from which Adam had eaten some fruits) are available in one place. He begs his Lord to see him being a patient if he is able to tolerate sickness for his face is being sweated in deathbed. Will his soul be able to tolerate and accept what happen in the day of the Judgment? He begs his God to forgive and pity him with other people to whom he delivered word of his God. He hopes his God inspires him to deliver his sermons to people. He asks his God not to deprive him.
