Look toward our ancestors time where wisdom lies
and look into the now where wisdom is disguised
we once held the knowledge within our hands
but now the knowledge falls through your fingers like sand
look toward ourselves to see where the hidden key eludes us
lost treasures are hidden deeply underneath, what a muss
echoing cries of hopelessness forms an endless entwining river
despair raging out from those who walked long ago, causes a shiver
we’ve journeyed down the hard paths life tends to throw across your feet
our arrogance led us down a destructive path nearly destroying ourselves
life lessons echo from the past, hitting ears, unable to penetrate the barrier
don’t be afraid to hear the spirits of your ancestors’ carried on strong zephyr’s
true, thou must walk one’s own path and learn one’s own lessons
look to thy side, see who walks beside, through the rough patches on thy path
answer keys are deeply hidden within thy spirit being awaiting to be awoken
shapes slowly emerges before thy eye lids forming new found wisdom
eluded key now takes shape, will thee grasp the key or let it fall forever
for we are the writer’s of our destiny and that of Mother Earth’s.
