I am trying to find the title of an O. Henry story.

The story involves a man who says money can buy anything and a woman who says it can't buy love.
There is a young man pursuing a famous young lady. He has a difficult time trying to get together with her. Finally, he is able to spend some time with her as she rides in a limo. Their time together is extended somewhat because of a traffic jam. Love blooms between them and the woman brags that they just needed time together for that to happen.
The surprise is that the man paid some people to cause the traffic jam.

Can anyone help me with the title of this story?

O Henry died in 1910 - I am not certain whether "traffic jams" were a thing of his time.

Though, as I search, I think I may have found the story, and it does seem to mention a traffic jam

Mammon and the Archer
Thank you, Sitaram. I managed to find this also, a mere few minutes after you posted. In a very long process, I once managed to read O. Henry's complete short stories (and poetry) in a book of roughly 1,600 pages; try to remember all of those stories can create quite a challenge, and I reviewed many of them yesterday, even after viewing this thread. I can certainly call O. Henry (William Sydney Porter) an author I can never quite grow tired of, since, even if I had read the story, sometimes his endings still catch my by surprise.

THANK YOU, SITARAM!!!

That is indeed the story I was looking for. I, too have a big volume of O. Henry' s work. I had read through it and that was one of my favorite stories. I had searched through it a few times trying to find that story.

I am forever indebted to you!!
