Can you put these books online?

I moved to USA from India 3 years ago and am yearning to reread some of my favourite books which are not available here in the US. :mad: I am not sure bout the copyright issue, but if it is allowed could you make the books of Richmal Crompton available online? It is the "William" series that I am looking for.
