Hi
I'm new to the board and joined because I'd like help finding out about a couple of books.

Is there a book by Lawrence called "the dissolute man"? and is there a book by Charlotte Bronte called "the animal tales"?

I am having difficulty finding them in library catalogues and the like. I'd be grateful for any help I could get.

Thanks a heap.
Katrina

Dissolute

D. H. Lawrence

Many years have I still to burn, detained
Like a candle flame on this body; but I enshine
A darkness within me, a presence which sleeps contained
In my flame of living, her soul enfolded in mine.

And through these years, while I burn on the fuel of life,
What matter the stuff I lick up in my living flame,
Seeing I keep in the fire-core, inviolate,
A night where she dreams my dreams for me, ever the same.

Colleen Haskell, a former contestant on CBS’ Survivor, starred with Schneider in the film “The Animal.”

“Having the opportunity to be in a film with Mr. Schneider was an honor,” said Haskell. “I read the book it was based on, ‘The Animal Tales,’ by Charlotte Bronte, first in high school.”

==================

This is closest thing I could find as a reference to Bronte "Animal Tales"

Hmmm, sorry, kathomo, I could not find anything regarding "the animal tales" with any of the Brontë sisters, but I will keep looking.
As for D.H. Lawrence's poetry (*sigh), I can never quite grow tired of his work. :D
