300 languages live in London.
I love this city
For its diverse cultures
Its multiversity.
And then some people
Do something
To silence all language,
All voices.
Who needs language
To understand a scream,
A cry?
9 million lives are carried
Through the capital every day.
I see the names
I see the faces
Of those who are missing.
In one of those languages,
Some people communed
To construct a plan of attack.
Over months, a few lives
Conspired against many.
Their thoughts rehearsing
Their terrible intent,
In a language
Few can understand.
The world lives in London.
So many different faces,
So many diverse faiths.
The underground,
The arteries of our city,
Fill London with its life.
A parasite infected our system,
Preyed upon our capital.
When that virus attacked my city
It attacked me.
It attacked everybody.
Now faces speak of fear,
The language of terror.
I love this city
For its diverse cultures
Its multiversity.
And then some people
Do something
To silence all language,
All voices.
Who needs language
To understand a scream,
A cry?
